What is MyFam?

MyFam is a family coordination app that helps families manage schedules, tasks, and communication through an AI assistant called Fammie.

Data We Collect

• Name, email, and phone number you provide during signup
• Tasks and calendar events you create
• Messages you send to Fammie (web chat, voice dictation, photo capture)
• Google Calendar data if you choose to connect it

How We Use Your Data

• To provide the family coordination features you use
• To power Fammie's AI responses with your family context
• To send notifications via web push and email

Google Calendar Access

If you connect Google Calendar, we access your calendar events to help coordinate schedules. We store encrypted OAuth tokens. You can disconnect at any time from Settings.

Data Storage

Your data is stored securely. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. OAuth tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM.

Notifications

Notifications are delivered by web push (on devices where you grant permission) and inside the app. We use email only for sign-in links and family invitations. A phone number, if added, is stored only as a profile field for emergency contact.

Sharing with Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information — including phone numbers or message content — with third parties for their marketing purposes. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate MyFam: Anthropic (AI responses — your messages and family context are processed to generate Fammie's replies), OpenAI (voice-dictation transcription), Google (optional Calendar access), Resend (email delivery), and our hosting/database providers (Vercel, Neon) — under contracts that prohibit them from using the data for any other purpose. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
